Rhythm & Motion Mechanics: A Community Celebration @ Ingersoll Community Center

Join the exciting ensemble Kinen & The LayeRhythm Band on Saturday, June 14th from 6:30-9:30pm at Ingersoll Community Center (177 Myrtle Ave, Brooklyn, NY, 11201) for a special community celebration! A combination of live music and street dance, this performance highlights elements of body control, mechanical movement, and illusionary dancing. This community performance celebrates Black American cultural practices through freestyle motion and sound. Led by dancer Kinen Thomas, this band will feature Simone Acosta on keyboard, Ksenia Vasileva on bass, and Rodney Harrison on drums.

This event is made possible through generous support from the NYC Coalition of Theaters of Color (CTC), and from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs.
