Live from Harlem – JFA Presents: JCFI Music Ensemble

The JCFI Music Ensemble stands as an exclusively female musical collective, characterized by a dynamic line-up that adapts to the musical context. Originating from diverse regions of South Africa, the members of the ensemble share a common bond forged through the universal language of music. The group’s inception traces back to their convergence at Jazz Camp for Female Instrumentalist (JCFI), an organization dedicated to empowering women in the realm of music. JFCI Music Ensemble delivers a seamless integration of jazz and South African traditional music, creating a harmonious blend that reflects the roots and influences derived from the myriad cultures and provinces represented within the ensemble.

This event is free and open to the public!

This event will also stream on the Jazz Foundation and Jazz Museum Facebook pages and the Museum YouTube Channel.
