Comedy in Harlem Jazz Concert and Open House featuring Gilberto & Friends

Showcasing the youthful energy and playfulness of jazz, while honoring its tradition, teen drummer Gilberto has been making his mark on the NYC jazz scene for over a decade. This includes performances at Dizzy’s, Lincoln Center, the Cutting Room and the Bitter End. His infectious grooves and drumming style blends everything from jazz and swing to rock and fusion. His ensembles feature a mix of young & talented jazz musicians that will be dominating the jazz scene in the near future, as well as prominent NYC music veterans from across the globe.

Gilberto’s quintessential New York story has taken him from the Boys Club of NYC to touring the country as a featured performer with the Broadway production of “School of Rock.” His continued studies include Juilliard, Jazz at Lincoln Center and Berklee College of Music.

Stop by to see the future of jazz at its best.

This performance is made possible by the West Harlem Development Corporation (WHDC).
