Intergenerational Jazz Power Jam: Here’s To The Ladies Who Swing & Bling!

Join us for an unforgettable evening as Jazz Power Initiative proudly presents the Intergenerational Jazz Power Jam: Antoinette Montague’s “Here’s to the Ladies Who Swing and Bling,” a vibrant homage to iconic jazz women including Carrie Smith, Etta Jones and Mary Lou Williams, all of whom Ms. Montague had the honor to work with in real time. Featuring the mesmerizing vibes of Nikara Warren and the rhythmic artistry of tap dancer Karen Callaway Williams. Accompanied by Eli “Dr. E” Yamin on piano, Jerry Weldon, saxophone, Lonnie Plaxico on bass, and David F. Gibson on drums. Prepare for an electrifying celebration of jazz’s legendary women.
