Live from Harlem – JFA Presents: John Benitez Quintet

Born and raised in Puerto Rico and long based in the Bronx, Grammy-winning bassist/composer/arranger John Benitez has led an accomplished career, working with major artists in a range of styles from Tito Puente, Eddie Palmieri and Batacumbele to Wynton Marsalis, Chucho Valdés and Roy Hargrove. For this concert he presents music in the hard bop vein, inspired by the legacy of Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers.
