Bring in the Jazz: Jazz History is American History

The National Jazz Museum in Harlem is excited to present an all day museum event celebrating “Jazz History is American History” curated by Guest Curator, Christopher McBride and NMJH’s Curator of Special Projects, Sekou McMiller on Friday June 28th from 12-4:30 pm! 

Starting at noon – 2pm, Jazz memorabilia will be on display that has ties to distinct periods in the history of the United States. 

2pm – 3pm, panel comprised of artists who have played and spoken with the greatest musicians of the art-form featuring Christopher McBride, Nicole Sweeney, Michael Powell & Jeremy Pelt.  

3:30pm – 4:30pm, A finale performance by the Willerm Delisfort Project (6tet), the brilliant bandleader/ composer and artist residing in Harlem. 

This event is free and open to the public.
